Birding today 10/24/2010 - 10:00 AM

Hello! Today is Sunday. I went to the place where our house is being built on the Taquari riversides of Coxim. I didn't take my camera, but I watched two couples of toucans of different species for about 5 minutes. They were all on the high top of an exotic tree called Ficus benjamina. The species where the Toco Toucan and the Chestnut-eared Aracari. One neighbour told me that they have been looking for baby parrots lately but they always come to the Ficus to eat their fruit. I'm sorry for the lack of pics. Anyway we might stop to feed this blog for a while because of the house building. It has driven us crazy! Coming back as soon as possible. Bye! Ariel.

Hello, birders! Here we go again. This pic was taken by my wife, Graziele, while she was taking a fluvial tour through the Taquari river here in Coxim yesterday, 10/22, by the evening. It's a Horned Screamer. We both hope you enjoy! Take care and God bless!

Birding today 10/21/2010 - 7:00 AM

This morning I watched many species while I was walking to work but the most beautiful was a Red and Green Macaw. It was on a Cashew Tree. It was in the town centre of Coxim about 300 meters from my house. It's a very nice inauguration for this blog, isn't it? My camera is broken but I will bring pics as soons as I have it fixed. Ariel.
